Affiliate disclosure

Some links here earn us a commission. Here is exactly which, and exactly what it does not change.

The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you subscribe to a tool through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we publish, and it does not change what you pay.

What that actually means

When you click through to a tool and later subscribe, the vendor or its affiliate network credits the referral to us and pays a percentage of what you spend. The price is identical whether you use our link or type the address yourself.

Affiliate links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" in the markup, which is the standard machine-readable signal that a link is commercial.

Which tools we earn from

Generated from the same data that builds the comparison table, so it cannot drift out of date separately from the site.

We may earn commission

    We earn nothing

Researched to the same standard and listed in the same tables.

      What commission does not change

      • Findings. Where a tool pays well and the evidence is thin, the evidence is what gets published.
      • Inclusion. Tools with no affiliate programme appear in the same tables.
      • Position. Ordering follows evidence and use case, never commission rate.
      • Withheld verdicts. Two of the three tools we have researched in depth carry withheld verdicts. Both have affiliate programmes.

      Our other commercial interest

Beyond affiliate commission, we run videoeditingservice.net, a paid human video editing service. Several tools covered here automate work we are paid to do — a conflict worth knowing about, set out in full in the editorial policy.

      Pricing

Prices shown are the vendor's published list price on the date we checked, and that date is on the page. Vendors change pricing without notice, and we make no guarantee a price or feature is still current. Check before you subscribe.
